Platform Engineering Intern

Restoring a production pipeline and testing how it behaves under load and failure.

Restored a nonfunctional production data pipeline, bringing automated data flow from live sessions to AWS S3 back online.
Load-tested the pipeline with more than 1,000 Kafka messages. Observed no lost or duplicated records in the test.
Measured end-to-end latency at 1 minute 49 seconds from session event to the file arriving in S3.
Identified a concurrency bug under eight consumer threads: two of 19 batches exceeded the configured size, reaching 53 records against a limit of 50.
Built a fault-injection suite with 15 malformed payloads across eight failure types. All invalid test payloads were quarantined through a dead-letter queue without affecting valid messages.
